Matt Post

Research Scientist

Matt Post is a Senior Research Scientist at the Human Language Technology Center of Excellence, and an Assistant Research Scientist in the Computer Science Department.

His research interests include machine translation, grammatical error correction and other text-to-text rewriting, text classification, and parsing.

He is the maintainer of the Apache Joshua statistical machine translation toolkit.

Since 2012, he has co-organized the WMT Conference on Statistical Machine Translation, and he serves on the Executive Committee of the North American Association for Computational Linguistics (NAACL).

He earned his BS (’03) from Calvin College and his PhD (’11) from the University of Rochester.
