Today, Johns Hopkins University announced the results of a year-long, faculty-led process which has identified seven Bloomberg Distinguished Professorships research clusters to drive interdisciplinary discoveries as a central part of the university’s new Data Science and AI Institute.

Mark Dredze, a John C. Malone Professor of Computer Science, the interim deputy director of the Data Science and AI Institute, and the associate head of research and strategic initiatives for the Department of Computer Science, will be one of the faculty leads on the cluster: Theoretical Foundations of (Machine) Learning.
