Moro-Velazquez Among Recipients of Johns Hopkins AITC’s Third Funding Round

The Johns Hopkins Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratory for Aging Research (JH AITC) has announced the recipients of its third round of grant funding, totaling just over $1.5 million. This funding round supports the collaboratory’s mission to develop AI technologies that enhance the health and independence of older adults.
CLSP assistant research professor Laureano Moro-Velazquez lead the pioneering project ADPIE: Deep Phenotyping of People with AD Using Portable Integrated Equipment. This pilot aims to develop and validate noninvasive Alzheimer’s disease–specific multimodal biomarkers using Portable Integrated Equipment. The platform, spearheaded by Moro-Velazquez, is designed to be portable, easy to use, and cost-effective.
