February 18, 2016

Suchi Saria, assistant professor in the Whiting School of Engineering’s Department of Computer Science, has been named one of the “AI 10 to Watch” in 2015 by IEEE Intelligent Systems magazine. This list, which comes out biennially, recognizes young scientists (all of whom received their PhDs in the last five years) who are doing cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence.

Saria was honored for her work on intelligent computational systems that tailor healthcare to the individual patient.

Saria is a member of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare, the Machine Learning and Data Intensive Science Group, and the Computational Biology and Medicine Group, and is affiliated with Institute for Computational Medicine, Center for Language and Speech Processing and the Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics.
