From July 13 - August 21, 1998 the Center will be hosting an NSF
sponsored research workshop on Language Engineering.WS98 is the sixth
workshop in a series, the first five of which were sponsored by the
Department of Defense.
This year there will be a total of 30 participants: 17 researchers, 7
graduate students and 6 undergraduate students.
The Opening
Program will begin at 9:00am on July 13, 1998 in Arellano
Theater on the JHU Homewood Campus. The opening day program is open to the
public. A complete program of WS98 Opening Day will be available before
July 1, 1998. Speakers on opening day will include government sponsors
and personnel, team leaders, and techical and administrative personnel.
The program usually last until 12:00pm.
The Closing Day
Program will be held over two days August 19 and 20, 1998. The
closing day program is open to the public. A complete program of WS98
Opening Day should be available before August 1, 1998. The closing day
program allows the teams to present their progress and results to the
language and speech community.
There will be five Guest Lecturers over the workshop period. Guest
Lectures are scheduled on Wednesdays: July 15, 22, 29, August 5, & 12,
at 10:30 am in Arellano Theater on the JHU Homewood Campus. Details on the
speakers, titles, and abstracts will be posted soon. |

Johns Hopkins HomewoodCampus.
The laboratory is Barton 123. |

General visitor parking is available at the Visitor Parking lot (fee
charged) or at any of the meters on campus (quarters only), or you can
purchase a parking pass for $2 from the CLSP Administrative Offices during
normal working hours, 9-5 pm. |
