From July 14-August 22, 1997 the Center will be hosting an invited research workshop on innovative techniques for large vocabulay conversational speech recognition. WS97 is the fifth workshop in a series sponsored by the Department of Defense, the last two having taken place at the CLSP in the summers of 1995 and 1996 and the first two at Rutgers University in the summers of 1993 and 1994.
Workshop guest lectures are open to the public and are indicated below in the sections Guest Lecturers at WS97.
This year there will be a total of 34 participants: 24 researchers and 10 graduate students.
Workshop Location
The workshop site is at Barton Hall on the Hopkins Homewood Campus. The laboratory is Barton 123.
General visitor parking is available at the Visitor Parking lot (fee charged) or at any of the meters on campus (quarters only), or you can purchase a parking pass for $2 from the CLSP Adminitrative Offices during normal working hours, 9-5 pm.
